Singapore, Indonesia Victors 1st AIC race.

Hi Skaters,

New Emerging World speed nations had their day of Glory in the opening round of the AIC held on the Toas Track in Singapore.

Daniel Chew Wee Singapore gained a great victory in the Sprint over Italian Master Michele Cicognani, The European 49 plus champion & Sub World champion & the Korean Inline Cup Winner Kim Bum-Sik (Tiger) But a very big suprize came with 4th & 5th the 13 year old Indian Mohit Malik was 4th &team mate 19 year old Satinder Pal Singh right up there in the bunch of 7 with the final 300 meters to go, after Daisuke Kazamaki Japan finally blew up,

After Making several serious breakaway attempts by Daisuke, only to be brought back by Chew Wee each time. A very deserved winner, without team support, he made attacks, chased down all others & then lead out the final sprint with 300 meters to go, doing the Business to hold of the fast finishing Italian & Korean.

In the ladies Eri Marina Yo from Kalimantan Indonesia created a runaway victory, going alone
Alone before 3 km, she went on to win by over 1 km from the pursuing bunch of 4 skaters, Eri Showed that Indonesia need to be competing at the highest World Level, with a very strong performance. Carmen Goh Kia Man Singapore won the sprint for 2nd place from teamate Ethel Lui, with Masters skater Kim Ames USA grabbing 4th from fellow Masters skater Jenn Lui Singapore.

More details & results to follow shortly but the Big winners today were Singapore, Indonesia & India, not high on the favoured World speed shaking ladder.
